One to One Mentoring
Big Sisters / Big Brothers / Big Siblings
Based in the community, this mentoring program provides young people with a role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. This match usually get together once every two weeks, through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee. These matches give the volunteer an opportunity to model positive behaviors/lifestyles that can make a life-changing impact for a child. By being enrolled in these matches, children are given the opportunity to build a strong and unique relationship with their mentor that can resonate with them for time to come.
The Big Sisters mentoring program commitment is 2-5 hours every two weeks, for a minimum of 1 year.
Braided Journeys mentoring focuses on matching Indigenous mentors with Indigenous mentees. Participants in this program receive the same support and program structure, but are additionally encouraged to celebrate and learn about their culture together.

Couples Mentoring
Couples for Kids is a flexible program that gives you and your partner an opportunity to volunteer and be matched to a Little Brother or Little Sister – a great way for both of you to give the gift of friendship to a child. The Couples program provides flexibility by allowing 1 member of the couple to spend time with the child if the other person is unavailable.
The Couples for Kids mentoring program commitment is 2-5 hours every two weeks, for a minimum of 1 year.
Group
General Big Sister
Would you like to be a Big Sister, but don’t have the time to commit weekly? Join as a General Big Sister and come out to our monthly group events! We have a number of kids on the wait list who need buddies at these activities.
You have the flexibility of attending at least 1 – or both – monthly group events. It is also very easy to transition to a 1-1 match in the future.
